I’m discontinuing my Village Scene Setter backgrounds!

Hey guys, I plan to make a public post about this tomorrow most likely but wanted to post it here first! Long story short, I’m calling it a wrap on my Village Scene Setter line of backgrounds.

There’s no grand story or anything- I’m actually very happy with how they’ve turned out and I think everyone or nearly everyone who’s bought one has been happy.

Simply put though, the economics and logistics just don’t work out to where it’s viable to have them done in small batches. They cost too much to produce (and therefore sell) and ship, as well as paying for the commissioned art and processing fees of an on-line store. The final nail in the proverbial coffin came this week, when the person at the print shop who was assisting me with these left the company.

This was always a passion project for me, and my goal was just make them sustainable. I broke close to even on the first batch, but then last year only sold about half of the pumpkin patch scene setters and therefore took a minor bath.

So it’s like this- I have around 30 of the Autumn Pumpkin Patch’s left out of the limited run of 75, and I’ve marked them down on clearance to where I’m selling below cost after shipping. If you want one, now would be the time as when they are gone they are legit gone and there will not be anymore of any kind.

I’m very proud of how they turned out and I hope those of you who either got one or will get one are too! The economics just don’t warrant me keeping the line going!

I figured it was best to just transparent with ya’ll. I’ll be back later this week with a Spooky Village Dispatch!
