Description

This product is designed AND Made in the USA, in St. Louis, MO.

The Autumn Pumpkin Patch Scene Setter background features a quad fold design that acts as a freestanding background for your Halloween village!

Village Scene Setter backgrounds measure approx 47″ x 19″ (please allow a smidge of variance due to the material cutting process), which is wide enough for most of the available village platform sets sold by Lemax, Department 56, or various custom builders on Etsy, etc.

Featuring a hybrid gatorboard / vinyl construction, the matte finish on the background is designed to absorb light from your village buildings versus a glossy finish that can bounce or unnecessarily reflect.

The bottom of the Village Scene Setter has several routed holes that are around 2″ in height. Large enough to run cords/bulbs, but small enough to stay “below the waterline” for most of the standard size village bases so as to stay hidden and unobstrusive to your display.

The Scene Setter line of village backgrounds is a labor of love project that’s taken several years to come to fruition. It came about because I simply wanted/needed a product that was hard/impossible to find. These are by village enthusiasts, for village enthusiasts!

The Story Behind Autumn Pumpkin Patch

The Autumn Pumpkin Patch Village Scene Setter Design was painted by my friend and fellow village nut Eric Gargano. It’s a fun story- over a decade ago when I got into Halloween villaging, I was trying to find some videos of what various houses looked like lit up. This led me to a YouTube channel by the handle of Shadowbat, which happened to be Eric’s.

At the time, there weren’t many YouTube channels that discussed Halloween village pieces, and Eric had several reviews of new Lemax Spooky Town buildings for that year. I enjoyed the videos so much that it gave me the idea to start a YouTube channel dedicated solely to reviewing pieces.

He and I wound up becoming friends because we both posted on the now mostly defunct Halloween Forum, where I recognized his Shadowbat user name. I discovered that Eric was a skilled painter, and when I originally decided to launch the Village Scene Setter line in 2023, I was hoping Eric could do some of the design work. The timing didn’t work out, though. I knew if I did another run of them, he would HAVE to be a part of it.

Fast forward to 2025, and we have the Autumn Pumpkin Patch! The only notes I gave him – a pumpkin patch in the Fall, at sunset, major fall vibes. It should work for any kind of autumnal village scene- especially those interested in farms/pumpkin patches. He crushed it!
